Damyanah Studio - Artisan Handmade Ceramic beads and pendants
All items you can see here are original designs of Damyanah Studio,
created by ceramic artist Damyana Dimitrova , based in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
The company was found in 2017 and then in 2018 I made my first appearance at a bead show in the USA,
at the To Bead True Blue Show in Tuscon, AZ and have been attending ever since.
The technique used on all pieces is very similar to the Majolica technique but made with contemporary materials.
This basicaly means there are at least three firings since after the bisque firing, the next one is where
only the base color is applied of the item (usually white or black is what it used), then fire it for a second time
and only then the painting part is actually done.
It is a rather long process but extremely interesting and we like to believe that this is
where part of the magic in our items comes from.
